- LEINOS products are made from natural, renewable raw materials such as linseed oil, beeswax, clay, and mineral pigments. They allow surfaces to breathe and have low VOC content per EU standards. Like all drying oils, natural formulations may emit organic compounds during oxidative curing. Adequate ventilation during application and drying is recommended.
- Yes. LEINOS finishes are vapour-open: wood and walls regulate their own moisture rather than being sealed under a film. Product-specific notes for high-moisture installations are in the TDS.
- For outdoor timber, we recommend Exterior Wood Oil (285) which provides UV protection and water resistance while remaining breathable.
- Natural oils need to penetrate the wood. If there is an existing film-forming finish, it must be fully removed by sanding before applying LEINOS products.
